Job Description
Shift: 1st shift
Days of Work: Monday - Friday
Work Hours: 8:00am to 5:00 pm
Work Location: On-site (North Mankato, MN)
Starting Salary: $61,800 - $92,700
Pay Frequency: Bi-Weekly
Position Objective:
The Project Engineer is responsible for ensuring technical aspects and configuration of the product adhere to specific production project specifications. This includes developing, implementing, monitoring and execution of Configuration Management (CM) plans, processes, documentation, and tools. This role will work closely with Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Program Management personnel, as well as external CM teams to ensure contract compliance and customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, monitor, and report project specific Configuration Management practices.
  • Integrate project specific Configuration management processes with existing organizational Configuration Management processes.
  • Author Engineering Change Proposals using input from Internal and External Engineering personnel and Engineering Change Notices.
  • Maintain Configuration Management Processes, policies, and Guidelines.
  • Document and report as-build product configurations.
  • Translate customer Configuration Management requirements into actionable processes.
  • Interface with vendors on Configuration data and reporting.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Engineering personnel on Request For Variance documentation and processes, and other project specific quality assurance topics.
  • Provide project based technical guidance to the Project Management Team.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Experience/Skills:
  • Due to Military requirements candidate must be U.S. Citizen.
  • 0 to 2 years related manufacturing experience required.
  • Process oriented approach, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills; must be able to organize, prioritize, and complete responsibilities in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge of product construction, Configuration Management processes, and manufacturing processes a plus.
  • Familiarity with various software applications, including but not limited to: Oracle
  • (ERP), Aras (PLM), Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office.
  • Good organization skills, must be able to organize, prioritize, and complete responsibilities in a timely manner.
  • Previous experience with government contracting preferred.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar technical science field
