Job description

Gartner is currently seeking an Associate Contracts Director (ACD) for our expanding North America Public Sector Practice. The ACD will be responsible for negotiation of main contract agreements and all attendant contractual instruments to facilitate the sale and use of Gartner Business and Technology Insights products as well as Consulting Services. The ACD will also be responsible for answering internal sales general contracting questions to include providing assistance to internal pricing and proposal support resources for the North America Public Sector Team. The ACD will report directly to the Director, Legal Counsel and assists with supporting the North America Public Sector Team efforts in the U.S. and Canadian State & Local Public sector market(s).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read, analyze, assess and communicate guidance on RFQS/RFPs, Commercial Non-Disclosure Agreements, Transactional Agreements and Contract Agreements.
  • Review and negotiate Contracts, Purchase Orders and Modifications.
  • Conduct "issue specific" and "new hire" training for Sales and Consulting.
  • Answer inquiries from and propose problem resolution for Gartner's Accounts Receivable issues.
  • Interface/dialog with clients to discuss acquisition solutions and/or resolve/explain issues.
  • Provide advice on general and public sector legal issues.

Role Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree, Juris Doctor degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 5+ years' experience in government contracting, consulting / advisory, or related field. State and local government sales support desired.
  • Familiarity with government contracting terminology and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience negotiating Fixed Price subscription licensing agreements and Consulting main contracts.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of MS Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint a plus).
  • Strong process management skills with the ability to multi-task and meet firm deadlines.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 108,000 USD - 148,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
