Job Description

The Associate Staff Writer will join our editorial team, and take part in daily production of gear stories which includes snapshot articles, product reviews, features and in-depth buyer's guides. You'll be responsible for scouring the web on a daily basis for the best stuff for men to buy, pitching and writing engaging content that is designed to be digested and shared in a world consumed by social media. You'll also strategize with the team on larger editorial pieces to help make HiConsumption the best gear destination on the web




Qualifications

-Passion for well-designed, well-built gear - above all else
-Excellent grammar skills with a diverse vocabulary and proficient at spelling
-The ability to perform in-depth research on anything men's gear related
-Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable receiving constructive criticism
-Must meet deadlines and have strong prioritization & time management skills
-Experience multitasking and tracking several projects simultaneously
-Strong, creative eye for images that will tell the story and visually sell on social media
-Witty and quick to develop enticing article headlines
-Strong attention to detail
-Wordpress (or similar CMS) experience is a plus
-Bachelor's Degree preferred
-Previous writing/editorial experience preferred

- This is a full-time, salaried position in downtown San Diego. Salary is commensurate with experience.
