The Role 

The Associate Consultant, Sponsorship & Analytics plays a key role in supporting client strategy through sponsorship research, valuation, and relationship management. You will use Lumency’s proprietary valuation tools and best-in-class data stack to analyze sponsorship properties, identify trends, and help guide our clients’ investment decisions while also supporting account leaders in managing sponsorship portfolios. 

This is a hands-on learning role within Lumency’s analytics ecosystem, working across proprietary tools, structured datasets, and analyst workflows. 

This role is ideal for someone who loves data, enjoys learning about sports, entertainment, culture, and brand partnerships, and thrives in a collaborative agency environment. 

Key Responsibilities 

Analytics & Insights 

  • Conduct sponsorship valuations using Lumency’s proprietary valuation tool 
  • Support the consolidation, validation, and maintenance of integrated sponsorship data across global markets, supporting up-to-date brand, category, and property insights. Stay informed on industry trends, properties, and best practices 
  • Analyze valuation data and identify trends to support client recommendations 
  • Compile insights and contribute to performance and relationship metrics for clients 



Marketing & Brand Activation 

  • Experience and/or knowledge of how brands execute across channels to maximize the impact with their target audience 
  • Interest in developing ideas that showcase how a brand can bring their sponsorship assets to life within the framework of a partnership  
  • Client & Relationship Support 
  • Support contract negotiation and contract management for sponsorship investments 
  • Assist with the management of select sponsorship relationships 
  • Develop and maintain project work-back schedules 
  • Ensure project delivery aligns with statements of work 
  • Support the evaluation of new sponsorship opportunities and create points of view (POVs) aligned to client objectives 
  • Prepare reports and presentations outlining performance, insights, and optimization recommendations 
  • Track budgets, reconcile hours, and confirm scope with clients 
  • Build strong knowledge of each client’s business and category 
  • Support organic account growth by identifying new opportunities and anticipating client needs 


Financial Accountability 

  • Manage personal productivity to ensure project budgets, billing, and revenue remain on track 


Culture & Brand 

  • Contribute to a positive, high-performance agency culture 
  • Actively demonstrate Lumency values 
  • Act as a Lumency brand ambassador internally and externally 

Qualifications 

Education 

  • Post-secondary education in business, marketing, or communications (requirement) 

Experience 

  • 1-2 years of experience in marketing, analytics, or a business-related role 
  • Sponsorship experience with a brand, property, or agency is a strong asset 

Skills 

  • Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication 
  • Ability to prepare professional reports and presentations 
  • Comfortable working with AI-enabled tools as part of day-to-day analysis and insight development. 
  • Proficiency with Excel or analytical tools (certification/coursework an asset) 
  • Understanding of how sponsorship works across channels, and how different touchpoints contribute to overall impact. 
  • Digital marketing experience (an asset) 
  • French language skills (an asset) 
  • Comfortable working with both simple and complex formulas
