Job description


The Application Analyst will have expertise in retail software and process optimization. The Application Analyst performs troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of existing software applications and will design, build, test, deploy and support new applications and modules within their portfolio. The Application Analyst works with the IT Business Analyst, vendors, and other IT team members to evaluate and recommend solutions to complex problems and requests, achieving in-depth knowledge of the software applications, operational workflows, as well as the policies, procedures and constraints of the business operation supported by the application.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the technical configuration and setup of an assigned application/s
  • Support the administration of server environments
  • Plan, test, deploy and support assigned applications
  • Collaborate with Application Leads to align projects to application releases and participate in aligning cross application schedules as needed per the Integrated Release Calendar
  • Support the creation of the Release Test Plan by the QA team
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and mitigate risks
  • Consult with team members to make software configuration and hardware configuration recommendations
  • Identify and facilitate the resolution of release-level issues
  • Identify Release Governance process improvements through analysis of process and systems
  • Support various phases of application development, testing and deployment activities
  • Update Release Governance process as needed
  • Production support including periodic after hours and weekend support responsibilities
  • Support dry-run activities and go-live execution to ensure code integrity

The anticipated salary range for this position is $69,500 - $104,200 depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits to Associates (and their families) such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability. Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to 236 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays). Paid sick time up to 80 hours per year unless otherwise required by law.

Skills (Preferred / Desired)
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or related field preferred.
  • Retail or help desk experience
  • Experience supporting retail stores, POS Software, Aptos POS and/or Java web applications
  • Knowledge of trends in technology relating to POS software and hardware
  • Experience in supporting all phases of SDLC
Experience (Required)
  • 1-2 years of IT experience
  • Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
