Patent Associate (2–6 Years) – Denver, CO

Direct Counsel is representing a nationally recognized law firm seeking a Patent Associate to join its Intellectual Property & Technology practice in Denver. This role offers the opportunity to work with innovative companies on protecting and expanding their intellectual property portfolios across cutting-edge technology sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft and prosecute patent applications before the USPTO

  • Advise clients on patent strategy, portfolio development, and intellectual property protection

  • Collaborate with inventors, engineers, and business teams on complex technology matters

  • Support matters involving software, consumer electronics, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies

  • Conduct legal research, prepare filings, and assist with IP-related transactions and disputes

Qualifications
  • J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials

  • 2–6 years of patent prosecution or related intellectual property experience
