Clearance: Active DoD Secret Clearance


Work Schedule: Full-Time, Onsite, Monday-Friday.


Role Overview:

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain network systems, troubleshoot complex network issues, and contribute to moderately complex project aspects. You will work independently and collaboratively, utilizing your expertise in systems analysis, design, and programming. Your work will support the United States Marine Corps.

Specific Skillset

  • Conduct root cause analysis of Department of Defense Command and Control applications
  • Provide network efficiency recommendations
  • Establish application network profile baselines
  • Provide enterprise-level network analysis
  • Design and implement local, wide, and body area networks for tactical and garrison environments
  • Create software-defined networks
  • Perform cybersecurity hardening on network infrastructures during test and engineering events
  • Conduct Systems administration (e.g., MS Windows, VMware, Fortinet)
  • Conduct Network engineering (e.g., IPv4/v6, Cisco)
  • Conduct Application prototyping (e.g., commercial off-the-shelf (COTS))
  • Provide network configuration and fault analysis of networks for test and engineering events (estimate of 10 events for the fiscal year)
  • Develop tools to accelerate network analysis reporting
  • Develop Collection and Analysis Plans
  • Develop Network Analysis Reports
  • Research, evaluate, and report on current and emerging networking technologies and policies
  • Identify, collect, analyze, and report United States Marine Corps (USMC) and joint service Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) systems network performance issues to Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) and other required Marine Corps agencies
  • Provide network engineering for developmental, operational, and integrated test and evaluation of USMC and Joint Service C4I systems
  • Provide technical management, coordination of task activities, and administrative support
  • May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top-level contributor/specialist
  • May lead and direct the work of others.
Requirements:

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field preferred
  • A Master's Degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field is highly preferred
  • CompTIA Security +
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) preferred
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) is highly preferred
  • VMware Certified Administrator (VCA), or Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA) is preferred
  • Wireshark Certified Network Analyst (WCNA) certification is required after 90 days

Experience Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant network engineering experience
  • 3+ Years providing networking in support of C4I systems
  • Experience supporting the United States Marine Corps (USMC) is highly preferred
