About the Role
This position may be structured as a summer seasonal, internship opportunity, with the potential to grow into a permanent full-time role based on business needs.
Weekend working hours may be required.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/ FUNCTIONS
  1. Review diagnostics and assess the functionality and efficiency of systems.
  2. Implement security measures.
  3. Monitor security certificates and company compliance of requirements.
  4. Offer technical support to company staff and troubleshoot computer problems.
  5. Install and update company software and hardware as needed.
  6. Anticipate and report the cost of replacing or updating computer items.
  7. Maintain proper documentation, including change logs, troubleshooting information, and maintenance routines.
  8. Follow appropriate procedure for access requests.
  9. Supervised assistance of IT Operations Manager in:
  10. Planning of IT environment, including network upgrades, server reconfiguration, and new device setups.
  11. Completion of Level 2 and 3 requests.
  12. Configuration of Server and Network level devices.
  13. Configuration of Clustered Hyper-V hosts.
  14. Management of Network Resources like shares, printers, and databases
  15. Follows 5S procedures.
  16. Other job-related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/ KSA
  1. High School Diploma/GED
  2. Working knowledge of relevant operating systems, software, and hardware.
  3. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  4. Attention to detail.
  5. Good organization, time management and prioritization.
  6. Efficient troubleshooting abilities.
  7. Effective communication skills, including speaking, writing and active listening.
  8. Great customer service and interpersonal skills.
  9. Effective documenting skills, including the ability to manage tickets and document resolutions to encountered issues.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Associate degree in computer science / information systems or currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program
  2. COMPTIA A+ and Network+ preferred
  3. Experience with setup of video conferencing software and hardware, mobile devices, iOS, etc. a plus, but not required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Typical working conditions at Kitron are indoors, safe, well lit, temperature controlled, low exposure to noxious fumes or offensive odors, clean and sanitary conditions with average light industrial noise. Production areas have machinery with moving parts. Static dissipative smock, and shoes are required. Offices with locking doors, meeting rooms, and common printing areas are well lit, clean, low noise, and temperature controlled with no exposure to noxious fumes or offensive odors.
