Job description

Responsible for project management, analysis, design, configuration, implementation, maintenance and support of the organizational systems' applications. Responsible for the installation and continuous development of the applications network. Coordinates established procedures related to information systems operations ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of system output. Provide assistance, problem solving, and technical information to customers regarding the use of assigned applications.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills & experience: Cerner FSI; Cerner CCL; Cerner Back-End Architecture; Corepoint Integration Engine; Unix/Linux

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other fields of study or equivalent; required experience may be accepted in lieu of degree

Experience:

  • Required: 2 years' experience (with Bachelor's degree), 5 years' experience (with Associates) or 7 years' experience (with no degree) in computer technology; PC based    applications and local area networking technologies. Previous experience with implementation and support of system applications.
  • Preferred:  Project management, implementation, and support of applications interfaced with Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and/or Electronic Health Record Systems (EHR)

Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Manages assigned applications projects.
    • Responsible for project plans, timelines, testing, disaster recovery and other aspects of application implementation and upgrades.
    • Designs, codes and tests system functions per specifications to develop/maintain the application and interfaced systems.
    • Provides evaluation and analysis of equipment based on the department's utilization needs.
    • Coordinates the installation of hardware, software, remote equipment and networks of new and existing systems.
    • Responsible for notifications of scheduled down-time for software releases, patches or upgrades, hardware changes or custom code changes.
  • Supports system users and implementation and configuration of assigned systems.
    • Supports hospital staff as necessary to ensure optimal usage and user updates.
    • Supports assigned applications to promote optimal functionality, including documenting, and analyzing system change requests.
    • Records documentation of systems and updates.
    • Develops and supports reports for end users.
    • In conjunction with the Service Desk, maintains all system security control and confidentiality.
