GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION:

Designs, builds, and maintains data pipelines and analytical data structures that collect, transform, store, and expose data for reporting, analytics, and operational use. Collaborates with business stakeholders to understand data needs and translates them into reliable, well-documented data solutions. Ensures data quality, security, and compliance while supporting dashboards, reports, models, and data-driven insights across the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to ingest, transform, and store data from multiple sources. Create and maintain analytical datasets, dimensional models, and semantic layers for reporting and analysis.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency through validation, testing, and monitoring practices. Develop and support dashboards, reports, and metrics using BI and analytics tools.
  • Document data pipelines, models, definitions, and processes to support reuse and governance. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Adhere to data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements. Support application integrations and data exchange patterns using APIs and database techniques, as assigned.
  • Participates in an IT department on-call rotation for after-hours assistance. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending and participating in appropriate training. Ensure company confidentiality.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience. One (1) to Two (2) years of professional experience in data engineering, analytics, or related roles. Experience working with SQL and structured data; exposure to scripting languages such as Python is preferred. Experience supporting analytics, BI, or reporting solutions in a business environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS
