Job description

Highlights:
  • Our Team is very motivated for the success of the mission, also the contract is very flexible with hours.
  • The Team is separated into 7 different tasks, and each task has its part in order to guarantee the success of the mission/warfighter.
  • You will be reviewing the different technologies and understanding our environment and the impact across the globe.
  • Customer support is a huge factor for our client and to understand the requests from around the world.
  • You will become well-versed in Active Directory, software patching, Windows Desktops, printers, password resets, troubleshooting, along with other technologies.

Typical Day:
Providing all aspects of desktop support for the customer. Troubleshooting, password resets and all other customer support activities.
Tasks:
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Windows 10, and Linux and networking.
  • Imaging and deployment of workstations.
  • Document inventory moves.
  • Provide support to internal and external customers.
  • Experience in installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computer software/hardware is required.
  • Under general direction, responsible for activities related to system administration.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be customer- and detail-oriented, and possess good decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of Tumbleweed sFTP is a plus.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell is a plus.

Required Qualifications:
Education: Associate's Degree in computer science, information science, engineering, business, or related scientific or technical discipline or equivalent in accordance with Education/Experience. (Desired not required)
Experience: One (1) Year.
  • Install, configure, and support systems, subsystems, components. Performs work in or on operations, networks, databases, or hardware.
  • Understand all technical aspects of the system in detail including but not limited to software/database operation, hardware, system configurations, network architecture, system architecture., systems interfaces, and protocols.
  • Operational monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Maintain the system, network, hardware, and software. Monitor systems and network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
  • Interfaces with engineering and program management. Interfaces with hardware and software vendors to obtain technical information and assistance.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures. Implements information assurance and information security activities and protocols.
  • Defines and executes installation or tear down, start-up, testing, shutdown, and recovery processes for systems and components.
  • Selected packing / unpacking activities of equipment to facilitate installation or tear down.
  • May supervise other network support and client server specialists.

**** Certifications IAT Level II. (Security+ CE, GSEC, SSCP) ****
  • Security clearance/IT access requirement - Secret/IT level - II.
  • Investigation requirement - favorably completed NACLC.
  • IAT-II baseline certification requirements IAW DOD 8570.01-M - (Security+ CE, GSEC, SSCP).
  • Computing Environment (CE) Certifications to be determined by government upon final job assignment.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in server virtualization technologies (ESX, ESXi, VSphere, etc.).
  • Extensive working knowledge Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) implementation, Linux, fiber channel (Brocade, Cisco, etc.), and Database administration (SQL).
  • Experience in server installation configuration and management of enterprise servers (Windows, Unix, SQL, etc.), storage solutions (SAN, iSCSI, etc.), networking, and disaster recovery solutions.

Physical Job Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and move desktop equipment.

Shift Work:
  • This position is a 24x7 schedule and is worked through a team effort with rotating shifts.
  • The Contract has the flexibility to allow employees to work either 8 hours for 5 days and/or 10 hours for 4 days, along with weekend and night coverage, at the Program Manager's discretion.
  • Note differential is not provided.
