SCADA Technician - Fly in/Fly out - West Texas/Eastern New Mexico

As a SCADA Technician, you will install, configure, and maintain SCADA systems and field hardware, ensuring continuous operation and reliability. This is a mid-level position with the opportunity to grow into a Senior SCADA Technician.

This is a Fly in/Fly out position - 3 weeks on/2 weeks off

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Install, configure, and maintain SCADA systems and related field hardware
  • Monitor and troubleshoot SCADA systems to ensure continuous operation
  • Troubleshoot and repair field communications issues for SCADA
  • Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on SCADA hardware and software
  • Conduct system testing and validation to ensure accuracy and reliability
  • Collaborate with engineers and field technicians to resolve technical issues
  • Work directly with clients to identify issues and coordinate a resolution
  • Work with Clients and co-workers to identify and recommend improvements and new technologies
  • Maintain accurate documentation of SCADA system configurations and changes
  • Train and support field personnel in the use of SCADA systems and field hardware
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide timely resolution to system issues


Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience with SCADA systems in the oil and gas industry.
  • Basic understanding of industrial automation and control systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Quick learner; able to adapt to new technologies.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License and clean abstract.
  • Ability to travel and work away from home.
  • Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test.


Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Exposure to the use and maintenance of SCADA software and hardware.
  • Relevant certifications in SCADA systems. (VTSCADA and Ignition)
  • Knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, TCP/IP).
  • RTU/PLC experience.
  • Communications hardware experience.
  • Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Journeyman Instrumentation ticket.
  • Relevant certifications in SCADA systems.
