Job description

Penske Logistics is looking for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to become part of an excellent team! This is a great opportunity for individuals who are safety conscious and have a pleasant and outgoing attitude who want to excel in a warehouse environment.

* This is a new operation located in Laredo, Texas. New hire orientation is projected to be in August *

Position Details:

Monday to Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (weekends/holidays as required)

  • $19.66 base rate

Major Responsibilities:

  • Various office and administrative duties, which may include handling accounts payable/receivable and collections, office supplies, maintaining database and miscellaneous reporting
  • Involve yourself in the safety team as required by location
  • Prioritize workload and have flexibility to adjust based on position requirements
  • Communication with drivers, operators, customers on site, and leadership team
  • Daily use of Outlook, Excel, and Blue Yonder
  • Look for missing product in storage locations
  • Work with checkers to ensure accurate receipt of inventory
  • Audit inbound receipts, both physically and through receipt documentation
  • Accurately input required data elements into WMS and various other applications
  • Audit existing data for inaccurate data
  • Accurately identify, log, and document potential damages
  • Assist with daily and weekly reports
  • Other projects and tasks assigned by supervision

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of general office experience required

• 2+ years of warehouse clerk experience preferred

• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred

• High School diploma or equivalent required

• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required

• AS400 experience preferred

• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening.

-Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
