CAD Technician - CAD Technician
Location: North Reading, Massachusetts (Onsite)
Compensation: $29 - $39 Hourly
Role Overview
This role is responsible for creating detailed drawings of material handling equipment, work areas, and material handling components. The position supports current examples and future design initiatives. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, capable of working with minimal direction to create drawing sets that standardize work spaces and designs across a large network of fulfillment operations.
Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed drawings of material handling equipment, work areas, and components.
• Develop drawing sets that include both plan views and corresponding elevation views.
• Utilize current examples to inform new drawings and support future design initiatives.
• Manage CAD layers effectively to maintain drawing integrity and clarity.
• Work independently to produce drawing sets for standardizing fulfillment center designs.

Required Qualifications
Education: A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Drafting and Design is required.
Experience: A minimum of five years of operating experience in CAD is required. A minimum of one year of experience drawing in a warehouse or fulfillment center environment is also required.
Technical Skills: Candidates must have basic knowledge of material handling and storage systems.
Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with conveyor design and layout.
• A degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• The ability to communicate with various audiences.
• The ability to lead small groups.
