Job description

Our Northeast Division is a well-respected and award-winning group where career development, training, and mentoring co-exist with diverse civil, environmental, water resources, infrastructure, and traffic/transportation projects in a fast-paced and challenging work environment. We are seeking a talented CAD Designer to support our engineering teams in the Northeast. The selected candidate will provide support on projects and will be responsible for performing drafting duties for projects with varying degrees of complexity.

This is a hybrid position and can be located in any of our Greater Boston area offices.

Your Responsibilities as a CAD Designer:

  • Drafting & Modeling: Create, update, and maintain detailed 2D and 3D drawings using Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Plant 3D, or similar design software.
  • Project Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and project managers to interpret project requirements and translate them into accurate design documents.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all drawings and models comply with industry standards, municipal specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Documentation & File Management: Maintain organized project files, revise drawings as needed and assist in preparing documentation packages for client and regulatory approvals.
  • Technical Support: Assist with data collection, field measurements, and design modifications to ensure design accuracy and consistency.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with new drafting technologies, software updates, and industry best practices to enhance efficiency and quality.

What we're looking for:

  • Associate's degree (A.S.) in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of relevant drafting/design experience required.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Plant 3D, or similar 3D modeling and drafting software.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, accurate drawings.
  • Experience with municipal infrastructure projects (e.g., water/wastewater, site utilities, structural layouts) preferred.

Why you'll love working for us:

  • Company-subsidized medical and dental.
  • Company-paid life, short, and long-term disability.
  • 401k match, tuition assistance, and more.
  • Cross-training and the ability to work on a variety of projects.
  • Performance-based bonuses or other incentives.
  • Working with the best and brightest in the industry.
  • 2,000+ employee national firm with 70+ locations across the US.
