Job description

HIGH-LEVEL OVERVIEW

The Export Import Compliance Analyst is responsible for managing the trade compliance process for a manufacturing company while ensuring compliance with import and export regulations including ITAR, EAR, and CBP
This is an in-office position based near NW Houston, TX.

EXPECTATIONS

· Comply with the company Code of Conduct and Export Compliance Manual
· Process routine import and export shipments in compliance with CBP, ITAR, and EAR regulations
· Determine HTS/ECCN classification and identify license requirements
· Manage export licenses and review outbound shipments for accuracy and compliance
· Maintain accurate import and export records
· Prepare and maintain MLAs and DSP-5 and DSP-73 export license applications
· Manage compliance for Maquila operations and oversee USMCA imports for preferential treatment
· Perform internal audit & compliance checks
· Advise management on trade compliance risks and coordinate with logistics, legal, and shipping

ESSENTIALS

· High school diploma or Associate's degree required
· 3-5 years of experience in trade compliance
· Strong knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and other export and import regulations
· Experience managing export licenses (DSP-5, DSP-73, MLA)
· HTS and export classification experience
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and compliance software
· Maquila/USMCA compliance and U.S. Customs/ACE knowledge a plus
· Must be a U.S. Person following ITAR regulations
