THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Account Manager II manages a more complex or specialized book of insurance business, and provides professional, courteous service to clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and HUB colleagues. They may work independently, as part of a team or with a Producer to provide client advocacy, client retention, write new client accounts or lines of coverage as needed. Account Manager IIs are responsible to follow our best practices and broker standards.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Service day to day client needs including, fielding phone calls, email, and other communication relative to coverage questions, policy changes, payments, cancellations, etc.
  • Manage the execution of all aspects of client renewal process including obtaining updated information, marketing, terms and pricing negotiation, quote review, presentation of renewal numbers to the Producer and the client (where applicable) and invoicing
  • Review quote documents to ensure all insurance requirements are included in quote proposal
  • Manage client relationship ensuring satisfaction
  • Manage and delegate work as needed to Associate Account Managers I and II to ensure their progress and workload is appropriate
  • Manage/Maintain relationships with underwriters to ensure positive results for clients, and negotiate coverage with underwriters
  • Ensure the completion and accuracy of proposals, binding of coverage, review of policies for accuracy and creation of client policy summaries and binders
  • Responsible to set up and maintain electronic records
  • Use best practices and internal broker standards for service and maintenance of client files and information
  • Training and collaboration with team members to share and educate on coverage, exposures and client knowledge
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Four or more years insurance brokerage or property casualty insurance experience in account management role preferred
  • High School or equivalent
  • P & C Insurance Producer License Required
  • Current with all necessary CE credits in required lines and states.
  • Advanced professional designation highly desirable (e.g., AAI, ARM, CIC).

  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong reading comprehension and analysis skills
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organization and follow up skills
  • Ability to effectively work in a team environment
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet utilization
  • Applied EPIC Agency Management System experience preferred but not required

The expected salary range for this position is $32 - $36/hr depending on geographical location and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope and level.
