Lead Data Analyst
DM Clinical Research, the largest privately-owned clinical research organization in the Houston area and one of the top fifty in the country, is looking for a Lead Data Analyst to join our corporate office. The Lead Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, organizing, analyzing, and reporting data from various departments within the organization. ​
Duties amp; Responsibilities:
  • The position is responsible for developing and managing databases and dashboards, conducting analysis of operational and clinical data, and developing reports and information to be used by management, administrative and/or medical and professional staff
  • Provides and analyzes the data necessary to support new initiatives and evaluate existing initiatives
  • Manages mining, analysis, and interpretation of departmental data to demonstrate clinical, operational, and financial outcomes
  • Manages, tracks, and evaluates performance measures, identifies data trends, and makes recommendations for improvement initiatives
  • Leads development of report templates department-level reporting - automating the data capture when possible
  • Maintains data reliability through interrater reliability and other quality control activities
  • Leads team projects providing guidance to team members
  • Identifies areas for improvement based on operations of service to improve capacity, efficiency, and overall effectiveness
  • Assist in the development of and implementation of process improvement strategies
  • Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge amp; Experience:

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Data Analysis
Experience:
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in data analytics preferably in healthcare or process improvement
  • Minimum three (3) years of professional experience collaborating with customers on the design, creation, and execution of analytics deliverables
  • Minimum three (3) years professional experience in building self-service analytic reports, dashboards and/or tools supporting decision-making and actionable metric monitoring by customers
