With offices in Baton Rouge, Beaumont, Houston, and Corpus Christi, as well as job sites around the country, ISC has grown our team as high 3,000+ associates and offers full-service engineering, construction, and maintenance solutions throughout the United States.
The Position:
ISC Engineering is currently seeking an entry level civil engineer to join the Civil & Structural Department. The successful candidate will work alongside of other engineers, designers, and drafters to develop construction work packages within the chemical and refining industry. This position is geared toward launching a recent graduate into a growth driven path to success working projects from conception through construction.
Applicants should have the ability to:
  • Perform job responsibilities under direction of Project Manager or a Senior Civil Engineer
  • Perform structural steel calculations
  • Perform deep and shallow foundation calculations
  • Develop technical reports from analysis as required
  • Develop design packages for code compliance
  • Complete owner site visits and data collection
  • Review client specifications for project design basis compliance
  • Support civil engineering activities within multi-discipline project teams
  • Support all engineering phases from concept to construction for new and expansion projects
  • Communicate effectively with multi-discipline ISC team members

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university
• Licensed Engineer in Training (EIT) or the ability to become licensed
• Co-Op or Internship experience in the Oil & Gas industry, preferred but not required
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Skilled in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, etc.)
• Knowledge and ability to apply industry codes and standards
• TWIC Card or the ability to acquire one
• Knowledge of Autodesk software preferred
• Ability to perform job walks, field sketches and assist surveying team in client facilities
