Job Summary:
The Chief Financial Officer reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer. Serves as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for directing financial activities of the organization by performing the following duties and/or through subordinate managers and accounting personnel.
Essential Functions:
  • Financial Leadership & Strategy
    • Serve as a true business partner to the CEO and leadership team; translate strategy into financial and operational plans.
    • Lead company-wide financial planning and analysis, aligning budgeting, forecasting, and reporting with the company's growth goals and strategies.
    • Deliver clear insights into financial performance, trends, and improvement opportunities to the other executive team members.

  • Accounting, Close & Controls
    • Standardize and ensure all accounting policies are followed.
    • Ensure the implementation of proper internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain the accuracy of financial information provided to management.
    • Design and operate a fast, accurate monthly close with disciplined controls and auditable processes.
    • Oversee compliance with applicable regulations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.

  • FP&A and Performance Management
    • Build a best-in-class FP&A function; deliver relevant KPIs to business units and enable business reviews.
    • Institutionalize driver-based planning, pricing/mix analytics, SKU and customer profitability, and ROI tracking for commercial programs.

  • Treasury, Tax, and Risk
    • Own cash forecasting, liquidity management, and optimize working capital.
    • Manage tax staff and coordinate with advisors on tax planning and compliance.
    • Oversee insurance, compliance, and risk management.

  • Systems & Data
    • Partner with IT team to integrate existing ERP system across all locations.
    • Assess, design, and lead the implementation of business processes and financial systems to streamline operations and enhance overall efficiency.
    • Leverage financial systems to improve financial practices, ensuring accuracy and continuity, with a focus on delivering timely, accurate dashboards, data, and metrics reporting.

  • People & Culture
    • Assess, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team; set clear operating cadence and accountability.
    • Model a rigorous, transparent, continuous-improvement culture across the organization.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervises employees in the Finance Department. Position is responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, planning, assigning, and directing work for direct reports. Individual will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws in many areas.
Minimum Qualifications:
Specific knowledge that can be determined objectively;
  • Relevant Experience
    • Broad-based financial leadership experience in manufacturing and/or industrial environments.
    • Experience in the Automotive Aftermarket in financial roles preferred but not required.
    • Strong preference for prior experience in a private equity-sponsored company, culminating in a successful exit.

  • Financial Acumen
    • Deep understanding of cost accounting, global supply chain finance, and ERP systems.
    • Experience with multi-site financial management is preferred, along with carve-outs and integration of acquisitions.

  • Growth and Transformation
    • Demonstrated success in leading finance strategy through growth, transformation, and cross-functional alignment.
    • Ability to thrive in a hands-on environment where strategic thinking and execution go together. Proven track record of delivering significant EBITDA improvement.

  • Technical Capabilities
    • Expert financial modeler with advanced Excel and Power BI (or similar) skills.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance.
  • CPA and/or MBA preferred.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through 10 or more years of related experience.

Background Prerequisites:
Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks, physical, and controlled substance testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of PLEX operating/accounting system preferred.
  • Experience with FAR, DFAR, and related CAS
