Director, FP&A- Capital One Auto
Overview:
Capital One Auto, a top lender in the auto finance business, is seeking finance leaders to join our transformative journey. We are looking for candidates to join our leadership team in Auto FP&A who have superior analytical skills, the ability to build collaborative partnerships across a broad set of stakeholders, exceptional problem-solving abilities in undefined and complex situations, robust stakeholder management and strong people management skills. Responsibilities:
  • Effectively and efficiently lead core finance functions, which include reporting, annual budget setting, near-term target management, and longer-term forecasting. Drive innovation and process improvements.
  • Develop financial objectives in support of business goals. Provide impactful strategic and analytical guidance by connecting operational principles and initiatives to financial implications.
  • Drive multiple projects by providing thought leadership and working closely with subject matter experts across different groups. Apply integrative thinking skills to current challenges & opportunities.
  • Manage and develop a team of analysts, coaching and mentoring associates with a goal of developing and retaining top talent.
  • Contribute meaningfully to the broader organization outside day-to-day responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or other quantitative discipline, or military experience
  • At least 7 years of experience in Finance, Business Analytics, Accounting, Strategy Consulting, or a combination
  • At least 4 years' experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function
  • At least 3 years of people management experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Finance
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
  • 8+ years' experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
  • 5+ years' experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function
  • 4+ years of people management experience including both direct & indirect reports

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Plano, TX: $187,300 - $213,700 for Director, Financial Management
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
