Job description

We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Associate Director, Investment, to join our growing EU team in Germany. This client-facing role requires an equal focus on deal origination and execution, working closely with our Investment/Delivery and Global Sales teams.

Key Responsibilities

Deal Execution (50%)

Lead end-to-end transaction processes, coordinating internal teams, clients, legal counsel, and lenders.

Provide strategic advice and design optimal transaction structures.

Conduct financial analysis including financial statement review and debt structuring.

Manage a pool of lender relationships.

Perform lender research and evaluate available market options.

Prepare and negotiate term sheets and credit documentation.

Deal Origination/Business Development (50%)

Collaborate with global sales and marketing to secure new mandates.

Develop and execute a personal Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy.

Attend pitches and help win new client engagements.

Cultivate new client, sponsor, and lender relationships across the region.

Generate leads in collaboration with the UK and marketing teams.

Build and promote your personal brand with the support of our marketing function.

Core Competencies

Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in banking or debt advisory, ideally within Leveraged Finance, Structured Finance, Origination, or Credit.

Proven track record in business development and winning mandates.

Strong experience executing complex debt transactions.

Excellent financial modelling and analytical skills.

Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Professional maturity to engage with senior stakeholders, clients, and funding partners.

Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and lead small teams effectively.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or related field (required).

Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Chartered Accountant (desirable).
