Department/Specialty: Spiritual Care

Schedule: Full-time | Evenings | Monday - Friday, 1PM - 9 PM

How you'll make an impact in this role
  • Provide compassionate spiritual counsel and emotional support to patients and families, ensuring care is inclusive of all cultural backgrounds and belief systems.
  • Deliver sacred rituals, sacraments, and liturgies to offer comfort and continuity of faith for the local ministry and community.
  • Collaborate as a vital member of the interdisciplinary clinical team to ensure a holistic approach to patient healing and well-being.
  • Foster deep connections with staff and associates, creating a supportive environment that addresses the emotional demands of the healthcare setting.
  • Guide the professional growth of CPE students and fellows, shaping the next generation of spiritual care providers through active mentorship.
What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Chaplain specializing in Cert of Endorsement obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. For those not certified as noted, ecclesiastical endorsement is required at the time of hire.
  • Board Certification from the APC, NACC, CASC, or NAJC (or certification obtained within 2 years of hire, risking termination if not obtained within timeframe) is required.

Education:

  • Master's Degree in Divinity, Theology, or a related field from an accredited school is required. 3 units of CPE accredited by the ACPE is required only if not board-certified; 4 units of accredited CPE are preferred.

Work Experience:

  • 3-5 years of healthcare experience as a chaplain is preferred.
