What is an associate casting director?

Associate Casting Directors are professionals who support Casting Directors in selecting and casting actors for roles in film, television, theater, and commercials. They assist in organizing auditions, communicating with agents and talent, and managing casting logistics. Their responsibilities may also include reviewing submissions, scheduling, and helping to make final casting decisions. Associate Casting Directors play a key role in ensuring the casting process runs smoothly and efficiently.
