Job description

Job Title: Bookkeeper

Location: KTR Scottsdale / KTR Chandler

Position Type: Part-Time Transitioning to Full-Time

Reports To: Owner

On-Site Position: Yes (Not Remote)


Position Overview - 

The Bookkeeper will play a key role in managing KTR’s day-to-day financial operations. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and procedures. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and experience in bookkeeping or accounting. Preferably in the recreation, hospitality, or retail industry.

Key Responsibilities - 

Maintain and update financial records, including general ledger entries and bank reconciliations.

Process accounts payable and receivable in a timely and accurate manner.

Manage payroll processing and ensure timely employee payments.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Monitor cash flow and assist in budget preparation.

Ensure compliance with all internal policies and relevant regulations.

Assist with tax filings and work closely with external accountants during audits or year-end processes.


Maintain organized filing systems for financial records and documentation.

Provide financial support to the management team for decision-making.

Other administrative and accounting duties as needed.

Communicate with employees with regards to benefits enrollment.

Complete all HR reporting documents

Sales tax payments and reporting requirements.

Qualifications - 

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.

Must be proficient in QuickBooks, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Teams and Excel.

Strong understanding of bookkeeping practices and relevant laws/regulations.

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications - 

Knowledge of payroll systems and HR processes.

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus.
