Position Summary:
Designs, models, and develops data management systems that integrate laboratory, operation and research data. Designs,
builds, improves and maintains high performance and highly scalable data pipelines. Oversees transition of data pipelines to
production and commercial settings; develops technology choices and practices that support pipeline maturation. Researches
and assesses the viability of new data management and processing technologies.
Changes to individual responsibilities may occur due to business needs and other related duties may be assigned.

• Applies advanced subject matter expertise and extensive knowledge of theories, practices, and design matters to lead the
application of existing principles and guide the development of new ideas.
• Provides, guides, and uses professional concepts to resolve critical issues.
• Works on highly complex assignments that address future concepts where problem solving requires conceptual thinking
and an evaluation of enigmatic components.
• Accountable for results which may impact multiple functions.
• Enhances formal networks with key decision makers and recognized as a thought leader to several diverse stakeholders.
• Exercises wide latitude in determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments.

Experience/Education:
• Typically requires a minimum of 15 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 12 years and a Master's
degree; or a PhD with 8 years of experience; or equivalent experience.
The estimated base salary range for the Assoc Principal Bioinformatics Scientist role based in the United States of America is: $187,400 - $281,000. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. The range reflects long-term growth in the role; therefore, most candidates are hired between the minimum and middle of the range. Placement depends on experience, skills, location, and internal equity. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
