We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team designing, building, and testing electro-optic mechanical stabilized systems. The Systems Engineer will execute multiple aspects of the systems engineering discipline, to include requirements decomposition into software/hardware functions, system performance analysis and trade studies, oversight of software/hardware development and system integration and test activities to ensure system requirements closure. The systems engineer will interact with the development teams, production teams, program leadership, and customer regarding technical considerations, risks, and issue closure associated with our programs capabilities. This position will be based in our Tucson, AZ office and is classified as a full-time, exempt, non-supervisory position. Experiences and Background We Look For (Required Skills): * Eligible to obtain and hold a Secret clearance.
* Hands on knowledge for precision assemblies and testing of hardware.
* Develop detailed test plans and procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and resources are available.
* Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, architectures, and troubleshooting procedures.
* Candidate will be responsible for requirements derivation, requirements traceability, systems integration & test, performance verification.
* Coordinate and conduct system integration testing to ensure compatibility and performance.
* Document findings, generate test reports, and present results to stakeholders.
* Presenting engineering material in life cycle design reviews.
* Support test events at multiple test event sites.
* Candidate will be responsible for Concept of Operations (CONOPS) development and design.
* Candidate will play an active role in troubleshooting system level failures amongst a diverse team of engineers and technicians.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software components into a cohesive system.

* 9+ yrs. experience with BS/BA

The annual salary range for this role is $130,000 to $165,000; however, Arete considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to: the position and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
