Job description

DevSecOps Engineer, Senior
The Opportunity:
Modernizing digital infrastructure in classified environments demands engineers who can build secure enterprise platforms, operate them reliably, and elevate the teams that depend on them. As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer, you will design, deploy, and troubleshoot containerized systems in air-gapped environments, develop and optimize production CI/CD pipelines, author and refine Infrastructure-as-Code, and embed security, observability, and reliability into every layer of the delivery stack.
You'll serve as a technical anchor for a cloud-focused DevOps team supporting the DoW, combining hands-on engineering expertise with a deliberate mentorship mission. You will coach active-duty military personnel and government civilians, lead technical exchanges and labs, and strengthen the organization's ability to operate critical systems independently and sustainably.
You will also help drive early-stage artificial intelligence (AI) adoption, including prototyping, evaluating AI-enabled capabilities, and responsibly applying AI/ML tooling within classified constraints. Your work will shape how the organization leverages automation, analytics, and modern platform engineering practices in highly restricted environments.
Operate at the intersection of Kubernetes, cloud-native architectures, enterprise automation, and emerging AI technologies-while helping develop the next generation of technical operators.
Grow your skills at the leading edge of innovation.
Join us. The world can't wait.
You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience with IT, systems, or software engineering
  • 3+ years of experience with DevOps or DevSecOps, including building and operating production CI/CD pipelines
  • 2+ years of experience administering Kubernetes clusters in production, including lifecycle management and day-2 operations
  • Experience developing Infrastructure as Code and configuration automation using Ansible and Terraform, Linux administration, including RHEL or Ubuntu, and scripting with Python and Bash
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud services and cloud-native architectures
  • Experience supporting regulated environments, such as DoD or IC, including cybersecurity engineering processes, and air-gapped constraints
  • Experience with basic AI prototyping, including LLM API use, RAG workflows, or automation assistants, and using AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with DoD software factory ecosystems, including Platform One, Big Bang, Iron Bank, or Kessel Run
  • Experience with observability stacks, including Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK/OpenSearch
  • Experience with service mesh and hardened platform services, including Istio, ArgoCD/Flux, or Harbor
  • Experience with network automation, including Nautobot/NetBox, Cisco automation, ServiceNow, or SolarWinds
  • Experience with Agile delivery, including Scrum/SAFe, within cross-functional teams
  • Experience with the military or direct support to tactical IT systems
  • Cloud certifications, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • CKA/CKS, RHCSA/RHCE, Terraform Associate, GitLab CI, or CISSP certification

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
