Overview
We are seeking a well rounded Senior Systems Engineer to interface and partner with key business and technology teams to understand business processes and requirements in order to design, develop and support cross technology solutions in a Hybrid Cloud/On-Prem environment.
The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for the administration, automation, security, and lifecycle management of Windows Servers and the VMWare Virtualization Platform. This role is critical for building and maintaining security compliance, vulnerability remediation, operating system patching, and application deployment.
This position will help ensure the secure delivery of endpoint services through Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID, Windows Autopilot, Jamf Pro, and Ivanti Endpoint Manager while supporting ongoing vulnerability management and cybersecurity initiatives.
The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for the design, administration, and support of enterprise infrastructure solutions, including storage platforms, virtualization environments, Windows Server systems, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
This position will help ensure the availability, performance, security, and scalability of critical IT services through proactive monitoring, automation, troubleshooting, capacity planning, and lifecycle management.
Responsibilities
As a valuable East West Bank team member, your duties (not limited to) will include:
  • Design, implementation and management of high availability VMWare environments
  • Configure and manage storage solutions (Pure, HPE)
  • Collaborate with other engineers to develop deployment strategies for existing and new services
  • Remediate and patch system vulnerabilities as required
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft Public Key Infrastructure
  • Evaluate and implement technologies that improve efficiency, performance, and reliability
  • Develop and deliver creative solutions that automate systems engineer functions
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft Active Directory (Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, Entra)
  • Configure, and administer Microsoft O365 Services
  • Troubleshoot and resolve server related issues
  • Maintain operating systems with regular maintenance
  • Manage assigned projects
  • Provide technical assistance and support
  • Collaborate with Systems Engineering Team Members and Management as well as Development, and Application Support Teams
  • Any other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience as a Microsoft Systems Engineer
  • Experience building and managing Azure Virtual Desktops
  • Experience with administrating and managing Microsoft O365 products and services
  • Experience with MS Windows and VMWare required
  • Experience with High Availability/Site Recovery design principles
  • Experience with Azure and AWS (Compute, Storage Accounts, Networking, Conditional Access Policies)
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage to tight deadlines with a mindset for flexibility
  • Excels in a fast-paced environment and ability to partner, dynamically adjust priorities and deadlines as need to meet the larger business goals
