Role Description The PC and Information Systems Engineer / Controls Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Lima, OH. This position is responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining PC-based control systems, industrial automation equipment, and related information systems that support manufacturing and business operations. Day-to-day tasks include installing and integrating hardware and software, developing and troubleshooting control logic, monitoring system performance, and implementing cybersecurity and data integrity best practices. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, document system configurations, support root-cause analysis for system issues, and ensure compliance with internal standards and industry regulations. The role also involves continuous improvement activities, such as optimizing system architectures, updating legacy systems, and participating in technology upgrades and new implementations.
Qualifications
  • Strong skills in PC hardware and operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with industrial control systems, PLCs, HMIs, and related automation technologies.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals, system integration, and cybersecurity best practices for industrial and information systems.
  • Ability to analyze system requirements, create technical documentation, and support change management and configuration control.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools, scripting or programming for automation, and data collection/reporting from control systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial automation, or systems engineering environments is highly beneficial.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively on-site with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and adhere to quality, safety, and security standards in line with company certifications.
