Job description

Audio Visual Project Manager
Full Time $65,000 - $90,000, Pay commensurate with experience
About Superior Communication Services
We connect people to the world by designing, installing, and maintaining advanced AV solutions that are easy to use. From corporate conference rooms and LED video walls to fitness center AV systems and DirectTV, we deliver technology that works - every time.
SCS operates nationally with offices in Massachusetts, Texas, Illinois, and North Carolina. We serve clients across multiple industries and we're growing fast. This isn't a watch-and-learn role. You'll be managing real projects, real budgets, and real client relationships from day one.
Our core values: Results Oriented Transparent Disciplined Accountable Aligned
Your Growth Path
At SCS, this role is designed to grow. Associates who demonstrate the drive, discipline, and results we expect typically develop into full Project Managers - and the best Project Managers grow into Senior Project Managers with broader portfolio ownership and leadership responsibilities.
We promote from within whenever we can. If you come in, own your work, and consistently deliver, there is a clear path forward. We are building something here, and we want the people who grow with us to help lead it.
The typical path: Associate Project Manager → Project Manager → Senior Project Manager
Position Summary
The Associate AV Project Manager is responsible for delivering projects on time, on budget, and to the standard SCS clients expect. You will manage field labor, subcontractors, vendor relationships, material purchasing, and project documentation across small to mid-size AV installations. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and know how to keep a project moving without being chased, you will fit right in.

• Plan, manage, and close out AV installation projects - on time, on budget, no excuses
• Build and adapt project schedules to meet client timelines without losing margin
• Identify, negotiate, and manage subcontractors and vendor partners nationwide
• Manage onsite technicians and serve as the primary point of contact during installation
• Purchase materials directly or direct coordinators on purchasing - you own the spend
• Deliver weekly status reports: material purchases, labor utilization, % complete, and 3-week forecast
• Identify scope changes early and execute client-approved change orders to protect the budget
• Estimate smaller projects ($5K-$100K) using SCS estimating tools
• Track all deliverables to quality standards and escalate risks before they become problems
• Represent SCS professionally in every client interaction, site visit, and meeting
• Stay current with industry changes through training and professional development

• Understanding of building codes and OSHA standards
• Strong communication skills - our clients expect clear, professional updates at every stage

• OSHA 10
• Project Management Certification (PMP / CAPM)

• DSP Certifications - QSYS, Biamp, Harman, or Shure
Physical Requirements & Travel
