Montanez Law Firm is a well-established real estate and business law firm in Tampa, FL, dedicated to providing top-tier legal representation. We specialize in business formations, commercial and residential landlord-tenant issues, commercial lease reviews, title services and more.

We are currently seeking a well rounded Associate Attorney to join our team and work on assigned cases under supervision of senior attorneys while ensuring client satisfaction and compliance with firm procedures. Cases may include but are not limited to:

  • Landlord/Tenant, including lease drafting and review, lease disputes, unlawful detainer and ejectment actions, and evictions
  • Residential and commercial real estate transactions, litigation, and closings
  • Property owner disputes, including partition actions, boundary disputes, easements, and right of way and access issues
  • Foreclosure litigation for both plaintiffs and defendants.
  • Deed drafting, review, and reformation
  • Title disputes including quiet title actions, code enforcement violations and liens, escrow disputes, and title claims and defects
  • Attorney-led and supervised title closing services including commercial and residential real estate sales and refinances

Key Responsibilities

  • Case Management: Handle assigned cases effectively, from intake to resolution, ensuring diligent legal representation.
  • Client Consultation: Conduct meetings, provide legal advice, and address client concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Legal Work & Billing: Bill a minimum of 110 hours per month on client-related work, including legal research, drafting, and court appearances.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with staff, including paralegals and administrative team members, to delegate tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Compliance & Communication: Respond to client inquiries within one business day and provide regular case updates.
  • Firm Procedures: Follow internal policies for case management, client intake, and document handling.
  • Scheduling: Manage own schedule with oversight from the Managing Attorney to ensure timely completion of legal matters.
  • Manage and Oversee Closings: Ensure smooth execution of commercial and residential title closings, collaborating with the title closer to review title commitments, settlement statements, and resolve any legal issues.
  • Community Engagement: Actively participate in local business and professional networking events to build relationships, develop referrals, and enhance the firm's presence in the community.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $70,000 + incentives
    • 25% of gross profit on cases procured by the Associate
    • 25% of hours billed over 104 hours/month (restrictions apply)
  • Paid Time Off: 10 days per year (increases over time)
