  • Handle matters through appropriate stages of estate planning, administration, and probate.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, families, fiduciaries, and other professionals.
  • Identify additional planning needs and provide thoughtful legal guidance across related areas.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff to deliver an exceptional client experience.
  • Contribute to matters involving business law, guardianships, and prenuptial agreements when appropriate.
  • Use legal technology and case management systems, including CLIO, to manage matters efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Active Delaware Bar license and good standing.
  • 1+ year of concentrated estates and trusts experience.
  • Demonstrated experience drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
  • Ability to independently manage a client caseload.
  • Strong client communication, writing, organization, and legal judgment.
  • Estate administration, probate, guardianship, business law, or prenuptial agreement experience is a strong plus.
  • CLIO experience is a strong plus.
  • Solo practice experience is welcome, particularly where it includes substantial drafting and direct client management.
