Job description

Job Summary:
Mercury Systems is looking for a top performer to help complete a variety of tasks relating to production operations on electronics and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. To be successful, you will need to demonstrate professionalism and initiative in your daily activities and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written. Hours: 2pm - 11:30pm.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform a wide variety of electrical/mechanical product assembly operations on components, assemblies, or sub-assemblies.
  • Install, assemble, and inspect electronic per documented work instructions
  • Interpreting Job Routers, written instructions, and schematic drawings for assembly of electronics.
  • Performing a variety of inspections with a focus on ensuring assemblies meet/exceed IPC standards.
  • Performing pass-downs with outgoing/incoming shifts.
  • Using hand and/or power tools and assembly palettes.
  • Apply material according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
  • Tasks span all mechanical assembly activities (wash, bake, underfill, masking, curing, demasking, cleaning/touch up, enhanced mechanical, and include applying underfill and masking material per specifications
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Typically requires one year of experience or less.
  • Meticulous hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work under a microscope.
  • Ability to work overtime.
  • Able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. when needed.
  • Interest in learning about electronic assembly instructions and schematic drawings.
  • Knowledge of or interest in learning how to use power tools and assembly palettes.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous electronics assembly and inspection experience.
  • Knowledge of ESD procedures.
  • Familiarity with IPC-610 and J-STD-001 standards.
