Job Title: Engineering Liaison
Location: Claremore, OK
Hours: Monday – Friday 7:30am-4pm
Pay Range: $70k-$90k/year DOE
Position Type: Direct Hire

Engineering Liaison Job Summary
The Engineering Liaison serves as the primary connection between Engineering, Production, Quality, Planning, and Operations to ensure technical requirements are clearly communicated and successfully implemented throughout the manufacturing process. This role supports the release, interpretation, and coordination of engineering documentation while assisting production teams in resolving technical issues, implementing engineering changes, and maintaining quality and configuration control within a precision manufacturing environment.

Engineering Liaison Essential Duties & Responsibilities Engineering & Production Coordination
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Engineering and manufacturing personnel.
  • Communicate engineering requirements, revisions, and process changes to affected departments.
  • Support machinists, fabricators, assemblers, inspectors, planners, and supervisors with technical questions.
  • Coordinate timely resolution of production issues requiring engineering review.
  • Participate in production, planning, quality, and engineering meetings.
  • Help minimize production disruptions through effective technical communication.
Technical Documentation
  • Review engineering drawings, models, specifications, purchase orders, and related technical documentation.
  • Verify part numbers, revisions, materials, dimensions, tolerances, and special requirements.
  • Identify missing or conflicting technical information and coordinate resolution.
  • Ensure manufacturing teams have access to current approved drawings, work instructions, routers, and specifications.
  • Maintain document control and configuration management standards.
Engineering Change Management
  • Coordinate engineering changes, revisions, deviations, waivers, and redline updates.
  • Work with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Planning to implement approved changes.
  • Verify obsolete documentation is removed from production.
  • Maintain accurate revision history and engineering records.
  • Support customer-driven and internal engineering changes.
Production Support & Problem Resolution
  • Investigate production issues involving drawings, tooling, materials, tolerances, fixtures, or manufacturing processes.
  • Gather measurements, photographs, and production data for engineering review.
  • Coordinate with CNC Programming, Tooling, Quality, and Operations to resolve manufacturing concerns.
  • Escalate significant technical, quality, safety, or delivery issues as needed.
  • Verify corrective actions have been implemented successfully.
Manufacturing Planning Support
  • Assist with developing and reviewing manufacturing plans, routers, bills of material, and work instructions.
  • Verify engineering requirements are accurately reflected in production documentation.
  • Support tooling, fixture, material, inspection, and outside processing requirements.
  • Participate in new product introduction, first-run production, and process validation activities.
  • Provide production feedback to Engineering and Planning teams.
Engineering Liaison Quality & Compliance Responsibilities
  • Support compliance with AS9100D, ISO 9001:2015, customer specifications, and internal quality procedures.
  • Assist with first article inspections (FAI), nonconformance investigations, corrective actions, and root cause analysis.
  • Maintain product traceability and configuration control.
  • Support internal, customer, and certification audits.
  • Promote accurate documentation and standardized manufacturing processes.
Engineering Liaison Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve engineering communication and manufacturing processes.
  • Recommend improvements to drawings, work instructions, manufacturing plans, and workflows.
  • Support quality, productivity, cost reduction, and cycle-time improvement initiatives.
  • Track assigned action items and communicate project progress.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Engineering Liaison Technical Skills Required:
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of CNC machining, fabrication, manufacturing processes, and production operations.
  • Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience using ERP systems, CAD viewers, and document management software.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on document accuracy and revision control.
Engineering Liaison Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Drafting, Machining, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in engineering support, manufacturing engineering, CNC machining, fabrication, production support, quality, or a related technical field.
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting engineering drawings and supporting manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information across multiple departments.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and move throughout manufacturing and office environments.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety footwear.
Work Environment
This position is based in both office and manufacturing environments. Employees will regularly work around CNC machinery, fabrication equipment, moving machinery, forklifts, tooling, oils, coolants, metal chips, manufacturing noise, dust, and varying temperatures. Strict adherence to all safety policies and PPE requirements is required.
