Help shape the future of mining projects
We're looking for an experienced Study Manager to lead front-end mining studies and help our customers navigate complex project challenges. In this role, you'll work with multidisciplinary teams, customers, technology providers and industry stakeholders to develop practical, scalable solutions that create long-term value.
You'll play a key role in growing our Mining, Minerals and Metals (MMM) business by leading studies across a range of commodities, including base metals, precious metals and energy transition minerals. From early project concepts through feasibility studies, you'll help shape projects that matter to our customers and the communities they serve.
What you'll do
As a Study Manager, you will:
  • Lead mining studies from order-of-magnitude (OOM), conceptual and prefeasibility through feasibility stages
  • Manage study scope, budget, schedule and quality to achieve successful project outcomes
  • Build strong partnerships with customers, technology providers, regulators and project stakeholders
  • Guide multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality study outcomes and recommendations
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of study management processes across the MMM sector
  • Review study deliverables and provide technical leadership to maintain quality and consistency
  • Contribute to MMM strategy and identify opportunities to strengthen our study delivery capabilities
  • Support business development activities, including proposal development and strategic pursuits
  • Develop innovative solutions that help customers address technical, operational and commercial challenges
  • Apply industry knowledge and sound judgment to manage project risks and support informed decision-making
  • Ensure studies comply with applicable safety, environmental and regulatory requirements
  • Mentor and develop engineering teams by sharing knowledge, coaching future leaders and fostering continuous improvement
  • Champion innovation through the application of new technologies, digital tools and improved ways of working
  • Support the successful transition of projects from study phases into execution
  • Promote a culture where safety, collaboration and excellence are at the center of everything we do

What you'll bring
Required qualifications and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mining, Metallurgy or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10+ years of experience in the Mining, Minerals and Metals industry
  • 8+ years of Engineering Services Project (ESP) experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading front end studies, advisory services, concept studies, prefeasibility studies (PFS) and feasibility studies (FS)
  • Knowledge of NI 43-101 and SK-1300 reporting requirements
  • Experience across mining projects involving base metals, precious metals and/or energy transition minerals
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary study teams and manage complex project delivery challenges
  • Strong understanding of study development methodologies, project management approaches and value optimization principles
  • Experience engaging with customers and translating technical information into practical business solutions
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate options, identify risks and support strategic decision-making
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, including the ability to present recommendations to senior stakeholders
