GPD is looking to continue to grow, and we are excited to hire a Landscape Architect that embodies the entrepreneurial spirit GPD is founded on in our Ohio office locations. This person will share a passion for designing and leading project designs with our clients in the Park, Municipal, Water, Retail/Commercial, etc. spaces.
Role Requirements:
  • Landscape Architecture design experiencein the field of Park amp; Recreation, Educational (PK-12 and Higher Ed.), Streetscape and Roadway, Public Buildings, Federal, and Retail/Commercial.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Landscape Architecture.
  • Experienced in master planning, place making, and plant selections.
  • Proficiency in design software to develop design deliverables. Must be skilled in Civil 3-D and AutoCAD and rendering software such as Rhino, Lumion, Sketch Up.
  • Technical understanding of design standards.
  • Thrives in a multidisciplinary work environment where one collaborates with other team members (Project Managers, Engineers, and Designers) to resolve appropriate design or drawing issues and accomplish objectives.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, professional writing skills and the ability to multi-task between several projects and priorities at one time.
  • Candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Some travel required for site visits and construction support services.
  • Valid Driverโ€™s License is required.
Day-to-Day Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist in project development by conducting project research.
  • Accomplish design tasks assigned by senior staff.
  • Assist with preparation of construction documents for multiple project types.
  • Support regional planning studies and conceptual site planning.
  • Participate in meeting and design charrettes.
  • Communication and coordination with multi-disciplinary groups.
  • Adhere to tight deadlines while maintaining a high quality of work.
