Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on a diverse patient population ranging from post-operative surgical patients to those with chronic pain conditions. Individualized care for each patient is essential, as you will create therapeutic alliances to facilitate recovery and educate patients on prevention strategies to avoid future injuries.

Qualifications

  • Current license or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Virginia; CPR certification is also required.
  • Demonstrable interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team-oriented healthcare setting.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
Preferred Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience working as a Physical Therapist Assistant in a hospital or clinical rehabilitation setting.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems is a plus.
  • Continued education in specialized treatment methods or specialties, such as orthopedics or geriatrics, preferred.
