Unlike traditional academic degrees, the AAS focuses on practical, hands-on training in areas such as healthcare, technology, business, or skilled trades. This degree is ideal for individuals seeking specialized knowledge and skills for specific careers, rather than pursuing a four-year bachelor's degree. While some credits may transfer to a four-year college, the primary goal of the AAS is direct employment after graduation.

What job can I get with an Associate in Applied Science?

An Associate in Applied Science (AAS) prepares graduates for technical and practical roles such as medical technician, computer support specialist, industrial technician, or dental assistant. These jobs typically require hands-on skills, certifications, and familiarity with industry tools or software. The degree often leads to employment in healthcare, technology, manufacturing, or skilled trades environments.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Associate of Applied Science graduate, and why are they important?
