Job Summary:
IMCS Group is one of the fastest growing MWBE staffing firms in the U.S. They are seeking an Application Engineer responsible for the design, deployment, and troubleshooting of applications within the operational technology environment. The role involves gathering application information, evaluating site applications, and ensuring security tools are installed and applications are updated.
Responsibilities:
• Gather and analyze application information from sites: Collect and assess application data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Evaluate site applications for alignment with standards: Review and ensure applications meet Client standards.
• Migrate non-standard applications to standard applications: Transition applications to align with established standards.
• Install and configure security tools: Implement necessary security measures to protect applications.
• Ensure applications are logging to the Client SIEM: Verify that applications are properly integrated with the Security Information and Event Management system.
• Remediate vulnerabilities identified by our vulnerability monitoring software: Address and resolve security vulnerabilities.
• Coordinate application-related tasks with other team members: Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth application deployment and operation.
• Understand network configurations to ensure application integration: Ensure applications are properly integrated within the network infrastructure.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Minimum of Associates Degree in a technical area (computer science, networking, engineering, Automation, Electrical etc.), Bachelor’s Degree preferred: Educational background in relevant technical fields.
• 3+ years of experience in application deployment and support: Proven experience in managing and supporting applications.
• Experience in operational technology environments: Familiarity with OT systems and environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment: Collaborative mindset and ability to work well with others.
• Willingness to travel as required during regular Site Discovery Activities across regions.
• Application system deployment and troubleshooting: Proficiency in deploying and troubleshooting applications.
• Basic network port knowledge: Understanding of network ports and their configurations.
• Cybersecurity knowledge: Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and practices.
• Communication and coordination skills: Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Preferred:
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
• Experience with Client standard applications: Familiarity with Client OT application standards and practices.
• Experience with security tools and SIEM systems: Proficiency in implementing and managing security tools and systems.
• Experience in network configurations and integration: Understanding of network infrastructure and application integration.
