Summary

As an Associate Application Engineer reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will lead the end-to-end execution of a diverse portfolio of small-scale projects, typically valued at under $500,000. You are responsible for ensuring solutions are designed, quoted, and properly costed in a fast-paced environment that rewards urgency, creativity, and cost consciousness.

This role requires a high degree of agility and organization, as you will often manage multiple proposals simultaneously, each with different scopes and different Account Managers. Individuals with high levels of autonomy and ownership will thrive in this start-up environment.

Essential Functions below, other duties may be assigned.

  • Lead pre-sales concept design and solution specification
  • Drive design work transition from sales phase to project phase
  • Provide industry expertise to design customer solutions
  • Identify, and manage, vendors and partners for different regions across BSA territory
  • Confirm bill of materials for the project, reach out to vendors for quotes, and build proposal
  • Cost Estimation and Proposal Generation
  • Communicating the value and design specifications to customers in our Atlanta Innovation Center
  • Based out of Charlotte NC or Atlanta GA preferred
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • BS in Engineering preferred
  • 1+ year of work experience preferred
  • Cost Estimating, AutoCAD
  • Logistics & Material Handling experience/knowledge

  • Driving is an essential function of this position, and a current and valid driver's license must be always maintained.
