  • Be Honest — Act with integrity and show authenticity — even when it’s hard.
  • Stay Curious — Seek fresh thinking, ask smart questions, and pursue learning.
  • All In, Every Time — Focus on details, take ownership, and go above and beyond.
  • We Before Me — Work collaboratively, offer help, and lead with kindness.
  • Win Together, Grow Together — Deliver results, put customers first, and fuel growth.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Timely, polished visual content delivered for breaking news, features, and community events.
  • Strong editorial judgment reflected in photo and video selections that elevate the story.
  • Reliable responsiveness to news as it happens, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Well-organized media archives that make assets easy for the newsroom to find and reuse.
  • Multimedia packages that perform across digital, social, and print channels.

  • Proficiency in video and photo editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop, and Lightroom.
  • Demonstrated ability to shoot and edit under tight deadlines in a fast-paced news environment.
  • Strong understanding of photo and video composition, lighting, audio capture, and color correction.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing digital media assets.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented newsroom environment.
  • Portfolio or demo reel showcasing previous work.
  • Demonstrated alignment with our core values.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with motion graphics, animation, or graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe After Effects).
  • Prior experience in a daily news or community journalism environment.
  • Familiarity with live streaming platforms and social media publishing tools.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Work is performed in both office/studio and field environments; frequent travel to assignment locations throughout Northeast Georgia is required.
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions, crowds, and unpredictable environments while covering live events and breaking news.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and move quickly while carrying photo and video equipment.
  • Must be able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Extended periods of sitting may be required during editing sessions.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for field assignments.

  • Travel to assignment locations and other Metro Market Media properties as needed; mileage reimbursement provided.
  • Must adhere to all Metro Market Media policies, including the Business Conduct Policy, Confidential Information Policy, and Equipment Use Policy as outlined in the MMM Employee Handbook.
