Overview

We are seeking a strategic, data-driven, and customer-obsessed Senior Product Manager to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of our Digital Payments product domain. This role is critical to shaping how customers pay for groceries online and in-store‑ensuring secure, frictionless, and innovative payment experiences.

You will own the end-to-end product lifecycle for digital payments, including wallet integrations, checkout flows, fraud prevention, and third-party payment partnerships. You'll collaborate across engineering, design, analytics, and brand teams to deliver scalable solutions that meet customer needs and drive business growth.

Our flexible/hybrid work schedule includes 3 in‑person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Chicago, IL, and Quincy, MA.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.

Responsibilities
  • Champion the customer experience in digital payments, identifying pain points and opportunities through research, journey mapping, and behavioral data.
  • Define and track customer‑focused OKRs and success metrics that reflect both satisfaction and business impact.
  • Lead discovery and delivery of features that enhance the grocery payment experience across channels.
  • Own the product roadmap for digital payments, ensuring alignment with broader eCommerce and enterprise goals.
  • Monitor industry trends in fintech, mobile wallets, and payment security to inform product strategy.
  • Lead cross‑functional teams through ideation, development, launch, and iteration of payment solutions.
  • Partner with UX, engineering, analytics, operations, and marketing to deliver cohesive, high‑impact payment experiences.
  • Collaborate with external payment providers and internal platform teams to ensure seamless integrations.
  • Communicate a clear product vision and foster alignment across stakeholders.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative data to uncover insights, validate hypotheses, and inform prioritization.
  • Apply A/B testing, funnel analysis, and customer feedback loops to optimize payment flows and reduce friction.
  • Inspire teams with a clear vision and strong sense of purpose.
  • Influence senior stakeholders and cross‑domain leaders to align on priorities and remove blockers.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of product management experience, ideally in digital payments, fintech, or eCommerce.
  • Proven success shipping customer‑facing products that improve user experience and engagement.
  • Experience working with engineering, design, and data science teams to deliver secure and scalable solutions.
  • Experience managing mobile product initiatives, including mobile‑first design, app performance optimization, and user engagement strategies across iOS and Android platforms.
  • Familiarity with payment systems, fraud prevention, PCI compliance, and third‑party integrations.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and cross‑functional leadership skills.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and influence across teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in grocery retail, omnichannel commerce, or mobile payments.
  • Familiarity with wallet integrations (e.g., Apple Pay, Google Pay), loyalty‑linked payments, or subscription billing.

Salary Range: $136,160 - $204,240
