Job description

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to join our client's expanding finance team. This role will focus on strategic customer accounts and be responsible for a broad range of accounting functions, including accounts payable, financial reporting, data analysis, and month-end close processes. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in transactional accounting (A/P, Fixed Assets, Financial Close) and experience supporting construction-related projects.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately process and verify purchase orders, invoices, and expense reports.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain well-organized and accurate accounts payable records.
  • Confirm timely and accurate payments to vendors.
  • Oversee vendor communications and respond to inquiries professionally.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining AP policies and procedures.
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Formulate and analyze various financial reports.
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations.
  • Uphold confidentiality and integrity of financial data.
  • Provide responsive support to internal teams and external customers.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field (preferred).
  • At least 3 years of experience across multiple areas of accounting.
  • Expertise with accounting systems and ERP platforms (e.g., Yardi).
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
