Job description

In this role, you will work hand in hand with Business partners to document and file our products with state DOIs, as well as to help build systematic underwriting rules.

This position can be filled as a Product Analyst or Associate Product Analyst based on the selected candidate's related skills and experience.
This position will be located at our office in Madison, WI in a hybrid work model and is not a fully remote opportunity.
For this position, Sentry does not offer employment to holders of F-1, J-1, and H-1 Visas.
What You'll Do
As an Associate Product Analyst, you'll support our business through the following areas:
  • Develop working knowledge of company products and processes as well as state filing rules.
  • Work with other functional units as part of a team and individually to complete projects such as rule filings and rate changes as assigned.
  • May participate in developing alternative approaches when processes have opportunity for improvement.
  • May prepare and communicate reports on product performance.
  • May conduct product, system, and/or competitor research to meet larger team needs.

As a Product Analyst, you'll support our business through the following areas:
  • Develop expertise in company products and processes as well as state filing rules.
  • Work closely with Product Managers to support introduction of new products, enhancements to existing products, and/or entry into new markets to reach company profit and growth targets.
  • Collaborate with business partners throughout the organization on the rate and rule revision process, underwriting changes, or system changes.
  • Coordinate product revisions and project elevations with other business units.
  • Implement underwriting rules within the system as directed by Product Management to achieve business goals.

What it Takes
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Math, Data Science, Actuarial, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 0-1+ year of related work experience
  • Prior insurance background preferred but not required
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and develop business relationships
