As an Associate AI/ML Engineer in Optum Technology, you will be part of the Employee Virtual Agent (Eva) team-a key AI initiative designed to save time and improve the experience for hundreds of thousands of employees. In this role, you will help develop and deploy a cutting-edge multi-agent platform based on Google's Gemini Enterprise, designed to answer employee questions and automate common administrative tasks. This is an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art Generative AI technologies and build scalable solutions that make a tangible impact across the entire enterprise.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assist in designing, developing, and deploying AI-powered solutions to address complex business challenges, with an emphasis on the responsible use of AI

Required Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of GenAI concepts, LLMs (Large Language Models), or natural language processing (NLP)

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (such as Jenkins or GitLab CI)
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills with a passion for continuous learning in AI

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $77,000 - $137,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
