Job description

Camping World is seeking a Customer Service Agent for our growing team.

This is a HYBRID schedule - work in office (Island Lake, IL) 2 -3 times per week and remote the other days.

This customer service agent position will handle heavy inbound calls relating to concerns, challenges, or issues that our customer may be experiencing.


This position is to understand and document the customers concerns and help find a resolution. Providing a high level of customer service is the primary function of this role. At times it can be challenging, that's exactly why we are looking for an all-star that's up for this challenge! ...and the rewards that come with it!
What You'll Do:

  • You are responsible for the intake of customer complaints, logging accurate records of conversations, and appropriately routing customer calls that come into the organization through inbound call center

  • You are good listener and seek to understand the full scope of a customer's issue, challenge, or concern

  • You are tough enough to maintain the level of professionalism our customers and members deserve

  • Provide exemplary customer service on every customer engagement

  • This is a full-time HYBRID schedule position. Allows you to work a flexible schedule with some traditional M-F hours as well as evenings and weekends. Hours of operation are Monday -- Friday, 8:00am -- 8:00pm and weekends 9:00am -- 6:00pm


What You'll Need to Have for the Role:

  • High school diploma or working towards diploma, GED or equivalent is required

  • 2 to 4 years of experience with customer service or complaint resolution preferred

  • Bilingual abilities are a plus

  • Strong computer skills with the ability to effectively maneuver in a Windows environment and through Microsoft Office products; ability to learn new software as needed

  • Minimum of 45-50WPM

  • Experience working in Salesforce or other enterprise level CRM systems preferred

  • Have a passion for the outdoors with personal experience and proven knowledge participating in outside activities like RVing, Camping, etc

  • Proven ability to engage customers and deliver unparalleled customer service every day; possess a positive, can-do attitude and enjoy connecting and interacting with customers

  • Ability to communicate, both verbally and written, clearly and concisely in English is required

  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed

The pay range for this role considers several factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Camping World, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the factors stated. A reasonable estimate of the current range is listed below.

Pay Range:

$16.65-$20.00 Hourly
