What you can expect as an Aerospace Engineer at DAS Aviation:
In this role you will provide high-level technical support for our growing aircraft maintenance operations. In this role, you'll go beyond the desk, providing on-wing support and designing FAA-compliant repairs that directly improve aircraft availability. You will leverage your extensive experience with SRM, AMM, and CMM data to analyze systems performance and drive maintenance reliability projects. You will be ESSENTIAL to many FUNCTIONS including:
  • Structural Design & Analysis: Design, draft, and analyze repairs and alterations for aircraft structures while ensuring full compliance with FAA regulations.
  • Technical Research: Extensively research and interpret aircraft technical data, including AMM, IPC, SRM, and CMM manuals.
  • On-Wing Technical Support: Provide hands-on support for difficult repair evaluations and convert recurring AOG (Aircraft on Ground) events into long-term fleet solutions.
  • Reliability Management: Lead fleet-wide maintenance reliability projects and analyze system performance to improve aircraft availability and reduce costs.
  • Project Coordination: Manage administrative tasks, technical writing, and direct customer coordination, including occasional night or weekend support.
  • Operational Travel: Travel up to 10% to various customer and vendor locations across the USA to support maintenance efforts.
  • Must be able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

What you'll need to bring with you:
Your Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
A bachelor's or associate degree from an Accredited institution in Engineering.
A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal but not required.
Your Experience
A&P License, Maintenance Control, Aircraft Cabin Entertainment/Avionics experience or other shop experience preferred.
Work experience of 3+ years
Structural repair experience
Extensive experience in reading/researching aircraft AMM/IPC/SRM/CMM Data
Experience in corporate aircraft supporting Part 145 repair stations is preferred.
