JOB SUMMARY

As an Associate Advisor, you will partner with the firm's financial advisors to prepare financial analyses, develop comprehensive written financial plans for client presentations, and support the delivery of personalized planning recommendations to clients. You'll leverage financial planning and investment management software to research planning strategies, prepare meeting materials, and take ownership of follow through on action items while continuing to build your knowledge of wealth management fundamentals.

A working knowledge of portfolio allocation, investment management, and general financial planning is expected, while experience with insurance products and annuities is a plus. This role also includes supporting routine projects between client meetings to help ensure an exceptional client experience. For the right candidate, there is an opportunity to transition to a hybrid schedule upon completion of the training period.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist advisors in preparing for client meetings including communication and follow-up of resulting action items
  • Prepare and analyze information and develop reports in preparation for presentation to clients by employing extensive computer skills
  • Input data to produce accurate financial plans and investment reports
  • Assist in rebalancing portfolios in accordance with client objectives (if securities licensed)
  • Research potential solutions for financial planning gaps, for presentation to the financial advisor
  • Partner with advisors and team members to deliver an exceptional client experience through proactive communication, organization, and follow-through
  • Trouble-shoot problems, organize meetings, serve as liaison between advisor and client or between advisor and the team as needed
  • Maintain accurate records while adhering to regulatory, compliance, and firm standards
  • Complete additional projects and responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • 3+ years of experience in financial services preferred, with a working knowledge of investments, portfolio management, insurance, annuities, taxation, and general financial planning; securities and/or insurance licensing is a plus
  • Experience with CRM and financial planning software preferred (Redtail and eMoney experience a plus)
  • Strong technology skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), experience with financial planning technology, and the ability to quickly learn new software applications
  • Team-oriented professional with a passion for serving clients and building trusted relationships, while demonstrating the initiative to work independently and collaborate effectively in a mentoring environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and critical thinking skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and follow through on commitments
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, yet flexible, small office environment while responding to changing business needs
  • Ability to follow established office procedures, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Professional, self-motivated, and dependable with initiative, perseverance, and a commitment to continuous learning and delivering high-quality work
  • Ability to successfully pass a criminal history and background check

COMPENSATION:

  • $70,000-85,000/year + Bonuses / Incentives (based on applicable experience, certifications, and / or Qualifications)
