As an Automotive Service Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for customers requiring automotive maintenance or repairs. You will listen to customersโ€™ concerns, understand vehicle issues, and coordinate service appointments. Your goal is to ensure exceptional customer service by providing accurate estimates, recommending necessary repairs, and maintaining clear communication throughout the service process.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Interaction:
    • Greet customers and conduct initial inspections of vehicles to understand issues.
    • Listen carefully to customer concerns and document them accurately.
    • Provide explanations and recommendations regarding repairs and maintenance.
  2. Service Coordination:
    • Schedule service appointments and ensure efficient use of workshop resources.
    • Coordinate with service technicians to prioritize repairs based on customer needs and workshop capacity.
    • Follow up with customers during and after service to ensure satisfaction.
  3. Estimation and Quoting:
    • Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor and parts based on technician assessments and service manuals.

  4. Documentation and Administrative Tasks:
    • Create and maintain detailed service records and documentation.
    • Process invoices and payments accurately.
    • Manage warranty claims and paperwork as required.
  5. Technical Knowledge and Support:
    • Stay updated on automotive technology and service trends.
    • Provide basic technical advice to customers when appropriate.
  6. Customer Education:
    • Educate customers on maintenance and care requirements to prolong vehicle lifespan.
    • Recommend preventive maintenance based on vehicle history and manufacturer guidelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or similar role in the automotive industry.
